Port Orange River Walk, LLP is the Master Developer and a partner with the City of Port Orange for the redevelopment project. Port Orange River Walk, LLP is a partnership between LaCour & Company, a local development company, and McGurn Investment Company of Gainesville, Fla.

LaCour & Company’s principal, E. V. “Buddy” LaCour has developed more than 250,000 square feet of retail, office, and warehouse space in Port Orange and Daytona Beach since 1999, including: OrangePort Business Park, 216 Charles Street, the Florida Keys Building, Meeker Station, Port Orange Pavilion, 3740 Ridgewood Avenue, 1900 Mason Avenue, Gulfstream Village, and West End Village. In addition to the Port Orange Riverwalk redevelopment project currently underway, LaCour & Company is also in process of planning a 132,000-square-foot mixed-use commercial development “New Port,” and a 60 unit mid-rise condominium project “Southwind Villas,” both on Clyde Morris Boulevard in Port Orange. Mr. LaCour is a life-long resident of Volusia County, having been born in Daytona Beach and currently residing in Ponce Inlet. McGurn Investment Company principals, Kenneth and Linda McGurn, have developed many commercial and residential developments in Florida and the southeast. They recently developed “Union Street Station,” a mixed-use complex in downtown Gainesville that brings together a vibrant mixture of office, retail and restaurants topped off with residential condominiums. One of their newest developments, “Main Street Landing” in New Port Richey, is currently under construction. This riverfront project features residential units, retail space, a coffee shop, and family restaurant anchoring the river view.
